All four people in the Isuzu, including a husband and wife and two children, as well as the UPS truck driver, were injured.

There was a fatal Will County vehicle accident on Interstate 55 in Channahon Township on Wednesday morning, December 10, 2014. The man killed was identified as Ryan Smith, 19, of Morris.

Smith was driving north about 7:30 p.m. in a Ford pickup in the left lane when a semitrailer changed lanes and cut him off, witnesses told state police. Smith swerved to avoid hitting the semitrailer. He was ejected from his pickup as it rolled over several times in the median ditch before the truck came to rest in the southbound lanes south of the Route 6 interchange.
Smith was taken to the Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. According to the Will County Coroner’s Office he was pronounced dead at 8:28 p.m.
The driver of the semitrailer did not stop, and the driver has not been identified.

There was a fatal car accident early Sunday (December 7, 2014) in Joliet in which a woman was fatally hit by a car.
According to Joliet Police, the accident happened at approximately 1:30 a.m. in the 500 block of Gardner Road. At that time, a driver struck a woman who was lying on the roadway.
The woman struck was identified by the Will County Coroner’s Office as Syreeta R. Campbell, 33, of Joliet. She was taken to the Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 1:52 a.m.

The man was riding a bicycle on West Frontage Road just south of Lorenzo Road in Wilmington Township when he was struck by a vehicle, the coroner’s office said Sunday. The Illinois State Police are investigating.
According to the Will County Coroner’s Office, the man was later pronounced dead after being taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment of accident injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.

There was a two-vehicle collision in Homer Glen on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
An 87-year-old woman died a few days following this accident.

According to Will County Coroner Patrick O’Neill, the accident happened at the intersection of 159th Street and Cedar Road, and one of the vehicles involved was attempting to turn into a driveway at the time of the vehicle collision.
The 87-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle attempting to pull into the driveway, was identified as Elaine Tychsen, 87, of Crystal Lake. She was taken to Silver Cross Hospital for treatment of accident injuries, and she passed away on Saturday.
