There was a fatal Will County pedestrian accident Friday (March 20, 2015) in Joliet.

The accident happened near the intersection of Western Avenue and Hickory Street in Joliet, where a man was struck by a vehicle.
The man, identified as Mark A. Cipolla, was taken to Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. According to the Will County Coroner’s Office, he died at 9:19 p.m. Friday night.
The accident remains under investigation.

There was a Will County accident Tuesday afternoon (March 17, 2015) involving a U.S. Postal Service truck and a car near Plainfield.
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP) the vehicle collision happened at Illinois Route 126 and County Line Road at approximately 4:30 p.m.

According to preliminary information the postal truck was traveling on Route 126 eastbound, west of County Line Road. The truck braked suddenly for traffic, causing the truck to roll over on its side on the westbound lane, police said.
The Volkswagen, which was traveling west on Route 126, then struck the side of the postal truck, police said.

There was a fatal Will County accident early Saturday morning (March 7, 2015) in which a man was fatally struck by a vehicle on Interstate 55 (I-55) in Bolingbrook.
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), this accident happened after a man, identified as Salvador J. Pena, 22, of Burbank, got out of a vehicle on I-55 after “some sort of domestic altercation.”
Then, as seen in the March 7, 2015 mysuburbanlife.com article, titled “Man killed while walking on I-55 in Bolingbrook“:
Pena left his vehicle on I-55 near the Illinois 53 interchange, police said. He was in the northbound lanes and began walking. He was struck by a vehicle while in between the right and center lanes. Then he was hit by another vehicle.
According to the ISP, Pena was declared dead at the accident scene.
