There was a crash Thursday (June 18, 2015) on I-55 just to the south of Arsenal Road near Channahon, involving a minivan and semi truck.
According to the Illinois State Police (ISP), the accident happened at approximately 1:45 p.m., and involved a northbound minivan crashing into the rear of a semi’s trailer.
The minivan’s driver and three passengers were taken to hospitals for treatment of their accident injuries.
The crash is currently being investigated by the Illinois State Police Crash Reconstruction unit.

There was a fatal car accident Monday night (June 15, 2015) in Romeoville. The accident involved a car driving into a retention pond.
The Romeoville Fire Department responded to the accident at approximately 11:30 p.m. The car had driven into the retention pond after it had been driving north on Lakeview Drive, and for an unknown reason, failed to stop at the stop sign at Remington. It then drove over a parkway and into the pond.
The Romeoville Fire Department found the driver, who was deceased, in the submerged car. She was identified as Cynthia Breig, 33, of Bolingbrook.
This accident remains under investigation.

There was a fatal accident on Interstate 55 (I-55) Thursday morning (June 4, 2015) in Channahon.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident happened on I-55, just north of Bluff Road, at approximately 1:00 a.m.
At that time, a northbound Buick Regal struck the rear of a semi. During the course of the accident, the Buick overturned and both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle.
According to the Will County Coroner’s Office, the driver was identified as Tyler Fox, 21, of Channahon. The passenger was identified as Darcy Chobar, 21, of Shorewood. Both were declared dead at the accident scene.
The crash is being investigated by the ISP Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit.
