A motorcyclist has died following a June 1, 2017 motorcycle accident in Romeoville.
The motorcyclist, Jason Weller, 28, of Plainfield, died June 8 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

About 9:21 p.m. on June 1, Weller had been riding a red and white Honda motorcycle near Taylor Road and Weslake Parkway when the bike collided with a gray Honda Accord.
Romeoville police said the Accord was driven by a 17-year-old Plainfield resident who was ticketed for failing to yield while making a left turn.

There was a fatal collision on Route 171 (State Street) Friday (June 9, 2017) morning in Lockport.
According to information provided by the Illinois State Police (ISP) the collision occurred on Route 171 near Dell Park Avenue at approximately 8:11 a.m.

Two Joliet-area men were killed on Route 171 on Friday morning when their vehicle collided head-on with an AT&T service truck, according to Illinois State Police.

The 2008 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that crossed the center line carried two men. They were both pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver was identified as Juan Huerta-Hernandez, 23, of Joliet. The passenger was identified as Juan Munoz Martinez, 32, of Joliet.
The driver of the AT&T truck was injured during the collision and taken to Silver Cross Hospital. The driver’s injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening in nature.

There was a fatal motorcycle accident Monday (June 5, 2017) in New Lenox Township.
According to information provided by the Will County Sheriff’s Office, the crash involved a motorcycle colliding with the back of a SUV. The collision happened at Cooper Road and Francis Road.

“A 66-year-old Joliet man was riding his motorcycle westbound on Francis when a Ford Expedition driven by a New Lenox woman that was northbound on Cooper crossed into Francis,” Will County Sheriff’s Deputy Chief Tom Budde said. “The motorcyclist struck the back of the SUV.”
The motorcyclist was taken to Silver Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The traffic accident investigation remains under investigation by the Will County Sheriff’s Office.

There was a fatal motorcycle crash Friday morning (June 2, 2017) near Joliet.
According to the Will County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened at the intersection of Manhattan Road and Cherry Hills Road in Manhattan Township.
The crash only involved the motorcycle. There does not appear to be a publicly disclosed reason as to why the motorcycle accident occurred.
The motorcyclist was identified as Michael Vlasic, 48, of Chicago. He was pronounced dead at the accident scene at 9:40 a.m.
The accident investigation is being conducted by the Will County Sheriff’s Office.
